Wars
The Attack of the Libyans- The Libyans had been attacking for ages. They were small and discreet attacks, but they were frequent and deadly. After many attacks, they started to come in a large group. The Egyptians barely managed to fend them off, but they did. That symbolized the end of the New Kingdom, and the pharaoh Ramses III died soon after.
The Persian War/Battle of Pelusium- The Battle of Pelusium was the second most signifigant battle in Ancient Egypt. The Persians and the Egyptians met on the battlefield. The Persians won and they ruled over Egypt with an iron fist. Eventually the Egyptians fought back, and Egypt was reclaimed.
The Greek War- The Greek War was in the time of Cleopatra VII. There was plague and famine and war spread all over Egypt. It ended when both the Queen and commander were killed. Mark Antony heard a rumor that Cleopatra died. In rage and depression, he stabbed himself. Then he found out that Cleopatra wasn't dead, but he couldn't undo the damage. Cleopatra thought he was dead, so she asked for a basket of fruits, with an asp in it. She held out her arm for it to bite her, and it did. She went blind and died soon after.

A khopesh (say kop-esh) is a long sword. It is curved at the end, and is thought to be the most common of weapons.

A dagger was also a common weapon, but not used on chariots or average combat. All Egyptian soldiers were armed with these, however, as a substitute of their sword.

Bows and Arrows were also common, but mostly for long-range soldiers and soldiers on chariots. The arrows were sometimes spiked with poison, but rarely.

The spear was also for long-range and chariot-riding soldiers. All long-rangers were equipped with these. Sometimes close-rangers had spears, as well.

Axes were a rarely-seen weapon. They were heavy and only for hard strikes. Some soldiers had them, but they never used them, and they weighed them down by tenfold.
